Leap Confronting Conflict
Leap Confronting Conflict is a national voluntary youth organisation and registered charity providing opportunities, regionally and nationally, for young people and adults to explore creative approaches to conflicts in their lives.
Leap's Youth programmes are in the community running Youth Leadership and Peer Trainer projects and targeted intensive work with groups at risk of being involved in violence and crime. In Leap Youth Programmes young participants become leaders, volunteers, mediators and problem solvers. They gain skills, certificates and confidence and can progress into education, training or employment.
Leap’s adult training courses are for any adult working with young people in a professional way. They run a series of standard courses as well as individually tailored courses to meet specific needs. Core Courses include:
Playing with Fire (PWF)
Working with Challenging Behaviour
Working with Group Offending
Working with Gangs
Working with Anger and Aggression
An Introduction to the Principles and Practice of Mediation
