Superact
Superact! started life in 2006 as a music development agency working with musicians, both amateur and professional, to bring music of all genres to communities across the UK.
Superact! is now a community interest company that focuses on holistic learning through the arts, specifically music. Many successful projects in the criminal justice service during which both old and young offenders have developed many of the employability skills previously mentioned, have demonstrated to the company the clear role that the arts can have in developing self-confidence and essential ‘soft skills’ for employability.
Supporting Employability and Personal Effectiveness (SEPE) is a new BTEC qualification being offered by Edexcel and Superact. This SEPE award is designed to help those who may find accessing traditional routes to employability challenging, to build confidence and gain a meaningful qualifications.
Superact are running their first training course for Dutch and Italian artists in 2011 in Amsterdam and hoping to be delivering UK training in March 2011, but are still in the process of confirming their training schedule.
